TWO BULLETS IN DONETSK

As though written with regard to the present situation, the words of Saint Luke come to mind:

‘Do not put your faith in those who want to sow discord and hate between countries and peoples of differing religions. The only ones who triumph as a result of this division are our enemies. The mother-Church must abide by the words of the apostle Paul: “There is neither Jew nor Greek”. This is how the Church views people. Protect  yourselves from the sin of fanaticism, of intolerance, of hate towards those of another religion and towards people who have different convictions. Treat every other faith with consideration. Never offend or humiliate anyone…’

The civil war in Ukraine today is vividly portrayed in the narrative written by His Reverence the Metropolitan of the Argolid Nektarios (Antonopoulos), a man who has known, lived in, and loved that country for the last thirty years.
